Data Analyst: what AI changes and what stays

A data analyst used to spend most of a week pulling numbers, building a dashboard and writing up what it means. AI now does the pulling and building part in minutes, which pushes the job toward asking the right question in the first place.

Spend less time practicing query syntax and more time practicing framing a vague business problem into a specific, answerable question, then defending an unpopular answer. Majors like statistics, data science, economics or business analytics still build the right foundation, but that framing and nerve is the part worth deliberately practicing.
