AI tools can now draft a lesson plan and do a first pass at grading a stack of worksheets, cutting into the paperwork that used to eat into a teacher's evening. That doesn't reduce how many teachers a school needs, though, since a district still has to have an adult in the room with children all day.

Why is a paraeducator's job judged so differently from a teacher's?
