AI is already good enough at charting and diagnostic reasoning to work at a specialist's level on paper, reshaping who fills primary-care roles first.
Why would AI hit primary care hiring before other physician roles?
In many primary-care clinics today, a nurse practitioner or physician assistant already sees routine patients, AI drafts the note and a first differential, and the physician mainly takes the complex cases and countersigns the chart.
