Zookeeper: what AI changes and what stays

A zookeeper's day is feeding and cleaning up after animals, handling dangerous species with practiced care, and watching closely enough to catch a subtle change in one animal's behavior. AI tools can flag odd patterns in tracking data, but they don't build the trust an animal needs to let a keeper near it.

How is AI actually used around animal care?

That helps with monitoring. Feeding, cleaning enclosures, and actually handling animals, especially large or dangerous ones, still needs a keeper physically doing the work with the right training.
